ABOUT DR. BRADEN JENKINS

Braden T. Jenkins, DPM

Dr. Jenkins was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho where he grew to love the outdoors and athletics, especially football where he went on to play briefly at Snow College in central Utah. He served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sendai Japan.

Dr. Jenkins earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Utah State University and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University’s College of Podiatric Medicine.

While working toward a career in medicine, Dr. Jenkins also served 10 years in the Idaho Army National Guard, completing a one-year deployment to Iraq.

He completed his three-year surgical residency at Intermountain Medical Center in Utah as well as the Salt Lake City VA Hospital with extensive training in wound care, lower extremity trauma, reconstructive foot & ankle surgery, arthroscopy and sports medicine.

While developing extensive skills in both conservative and surgical management of foot and ankle pathologies, Dr. Jenkins developed a passion for sports medicine and treating the active-patient and athletes. He trained with fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeons at both Logan Regional Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and Utah Valley Orthopedics & Sports Medicine where he was involved with the care of high-level athletes from Utah State University, Utah Valley University, and Brigham Young University.

Dr. Jenkins enjoys all facets of treating the foot and ankle to include conservative and surgical care. His main goal is to keep patients active and healthy by creating a specific, individualized plan so they can return to full activity as soon as possible.

Dr. Jenkins is Board Qualified in foot surgery with the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

In his spare time, Dr. Jenkins enjoys spending time with his family. He has four children that keep him and his wife Kyler extra busy. Dr. Jenkins loves coaching his son in football, watching football, and talking football. His other hobbies include weightlifting, snowboarding, and spending time in Island Park.
